At a time when electronic music often leans toward speed over feeling, Andrew Rayel’s fourth studio album, EXTASIA, arrives as a reminder of what trance has always done best: emotion, patience, and storytelling. More than just a new batch of songs, the album plays like a full journey, connecting trance’s uplifting roots with a polished, modern, and cinematic sound.

Following the success of his earlier albums, which together earned hundreds of millions of streams and produced fan favorites heard on some of the world’s biggest stages, EXTASIA feels like an important step forward in Rayel’s evolution as an artist. Instead of chasing trends, he returns to the foundations of trance, with melody-driven production, wide-open breakdowns, and arrangements that take their time building tension and release. Rayel describes the project as being centered on lasting emotion, the kind that stays with listeners long after the music ends.

Inspired by icons such as Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, ATB, and Gouryella, EXTASIA pulls from classic trance influences while reshaping them through a contemporary lens. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and current, balancing precision, power, and emotional depth.

Across the album, Rayel favors atmosphere over instant payoff. The tracks develop gradually, with cinematic layering, rich harmonies, and carefully placed vocal moments that make the record just as effective on a dancefloor as it is in a more personal listening setting. The vocal features help define the album’s emotional arc. Angel City brings uplifting trance energy, Joanna Angelina adds intimacy and vulnerability, and Diandra Faye introduces a dreamy, cinematic texture.

Among the standout tracks are ‘Sun Never Rose’ featuring Angel City, a soaring nod to trance’s golden years; ‘Never Be The Same’ with Alan Morris and Joanna Angelina, which unfolds with a slow emotional pull; and ‘My Ocean’ featuring Diandra Faye, which opens the album in a meditative and atmospheric way.

Other moments, including ‘Dreaming’ and ‘I See You In My Dreams,’ continue that nostalgic thread, blending classic trance feeling with modern production detail.

Released on Rayel’s own Find Your Harmony label, EXTASIA was designed not only as an album but also as a live concept. After debuting at Dreamstate Poland, it continues to take shape through performances at A State of Trance and Luminosity Beach Festival.
