After a successful debut in 2025, Breakaway Music Festival returned to Fair Park for its second year in Dallas, bringing another packed weekend of electronic music to the city.

The two-day festival once again proved that Dallas is more than ready for a large-scale dance music event, drawing nearly 13,000 fans who came ready to dance through sunshine, clouds, and even a little rain.

Following last year’s debut — which welcomed more than 20,000 fans and helped establish Breakaway’s presence in the Dallas market — the 2026 edition built on that momentum with a strong lineup, smooth operations, and a crowd that brought great energy from start to finish.

Day One Was Flawless

Friday kicked things off with a stacked lineup led by FISHER and Sofi Tukker, and from the moment gates opened it felt like the festival had hit its stride.

Day one truly went without a miss. The vibes across the grounds were easily 10/10, with friendly staff, smooth entry, and even consistently clean bathrooms — something festivalgoers definitely notice.

As the evening rolled in, the crowd packed in for Fisher’s set, which quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the weekend. When the rain started falling, it only made the atmosphere more magical. Fans danced through the drizzle as Fisher dropped a remix of Somebody That I Used to Know, turning the moment into one of those spontaneous festival memories that people will probably talk about for years.

Sometimes the best festival moments aren’t planned — and dancing in the rain at Fair Park while thousands of people sang along was exactly that.

Rain Can’t Stop Day Two

Saturday brought another wave of excitement to the festival with headliners Disclosure, Eli Brown, and Hugel leading the charge.

Rain rolled through parts of the day again, but the crowd never slowed down. Instead, fans embraced the moment, dancing through the weather as artists like SG Lewis, Amémé, and Night Tales delivered some of the weekend’s standout sets.

Disclosure’s performance was another major highlight, arriving in Dallas shortly after their appearance at Coachella and bringing a polished set packed with crowd favorites.

Meanwhile, Eli Brown delivered one of the weekend’s hardest-hitting moments with a driving techno set that kept fans locked into the dancefloor.

The Silent Disco Never Disappoints

One of Breakaway Dallas’ most unique features returned in full force: the Silent Disco presented by Jimmy John’s.

The stage once again served as a hub for music discovery, showcasing 60 Dallas-area DJs throughout the weekend. Fans could switch between channels and explore different styles of music — from house and techno to bass and open-format sets.

It also became one of the festival’s most unexpectedly fun hangout spots. Between dancing and exploring new artists, festivalgoers could even grab free chips from Jimmy John’s, a small detail that fans definitely appreciated while taking a break between sets.

Building a Home in Dallas

Beyond the music, Breakaway continues to grow its presence in the Dallas market. The festival also celebrated a sustainability milestone during the weekend, announcing it has diverted more than 100,000 pounds of waste from landfills since 2018 through its partnership with Zero Waste.

For Dallas fans, the festival’s return reinforced something many already felt after last year’s debut: Breakaway has quickly found a home in the city’s rapidly growing electronic music scene.

With its mix of global headliners, emerging artists, and strong local representation, Breakaway Dallas continues to prove that the city is ready for more large-scale dance music experiences.

Next up, the Breakaway tour heads to Raymond James Stadium for Breakaway Tampa before continuing its nationwide run throughout the year.
