[UNVRS] has been voted the World’s No. 1 Club as DJ Mag announces the results of Top 100 Clubs 2026. The historic win is the first time in the two-decade history of DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs that a newly opened club has debuted at the No. 1 spot.

Even before the official opening on 30th May 2025, [UNVRS] — billed as ‘the world’s first hyperclub’ — dominated conversation in dance music circles and beyond. The noise started in the lead-up to the summer, when a viral video featuring Will Smith investigating Ibiza UFO sightings lit up the internet, and became deafening once doors opened and footage from the opening party started to leak out. Videos showing light pouring through the windows behind the DJ booth, illuminating the huge main room, quickly became defining images of the season, and an ‘I was there’ moment for the lucky ones inside.

To be recognised as the World’s No. 1 Club by DJ Mag readers in our first year is a truly meaningful moment, not only for [UNVRS], but for what it represents. At its core, [UNVRS] is built around a colossal central space, brought to life through immersive visuals and a fully modular production setup which allows the venue to be reimagined night after night. This forward-thinking approach was matched by one of the strongest rosters of residencies Ibiza has ever seen. The 2025 opening season included residencies from Jamie Jones’ Paradise, David Guetta’s Galactic Circus, Carl Cox’s long-awaited Ibiza return, Eric Prydz’s HOLOSPHERE 2.0, and the visual carnival of elrow, alongside one-off shows from Charlotte de Witte, Sara Landry and the Top 100 DJs Awards. The recently announced residents for the 2026 summer season include John Summit (Experts Only), Anyma (ÆDEN), Jamie Jones (Paradise: Starship Eden), FISHER, David Guetta (Galactic Circus), elrow, Carl Cox, Tiësto and Armin van Buuren (A State Of Trance).

Diving into the wider Top 100 Clubs results, [UNVRS] is joined by three new poll entries from Spain — as Pagayo Tenerife andA Coruña’s San Pelicano join a raft of returning names. Ushuaïa Ibiza and four-time winner Hï Ibiza hold onto spaces in the top five, Madrid’s FABRIK jumps six places, breaking into the top 10 for the first time since 2013, and various other clubs from the White Isle and Barcelona make the list again, bringing the nation’s total up to 12, the second most clubs globally.

Zooming out to Europe as a whole, the continent is up one to 39.5 clubs this year (Azerbaijan’s FOMO counts as both a European and Asian club). Eighteen clubs drop places, with only 12.5 gaining, however there are a few non-movers, one re-entry, and two additional new entries for Europe on top of the previously mentioned Spanish debuts. Amnesia Milano makes its first appearance this year, keeping Italy’s total at seven clubs — placing the nation fourth in the country ranking. Germany supplies Europe’s final new entry in the form of Wuppertal’s Open Ground, a converted bunker with links to legendary Berlin record shop Hard Wax.

Argentina gains its first new entry to the Top 100 Clubs since Crobar debuted back in 2019. Mute is situated just down the coast from the capital city, Buenos Aires. South America’s total remains at eight overall, but of those, five move up while only one drops places. Five-time poll winner, GREENVALLEY, is a non-mover in second place, but with its Camboriú neighbour Surreal Park climbing 16 spots and breaking into the top 10 this year, the battle for Brazil looks to be heating up.

A new entry for Australia brings the country’s total — and that of Oceania at large — back up to two for the first time since 2020. The expansive ivy Sydney complex joins Top 100 Clubs veteran Chinese Laundry, another favourite of the Harbour City.

However, nowhere has international clubbing’s return to form been more obvious than in Asia. Last year the region finally boosted itself back up above pre-pandemic levels, and this year it’s up a further two clubs, slowly closing the gap on Europe with 31.5 in total. Asia boasts 12 new entries in 2026. Three come from Thailand, which is once again the Asian country with the most ranked clubs — now eight overall — and the third-best-performing country in the world this year. Singapore, Indonesia and China all bring two new entries each, the latter of which lands both in the top 30, while Japan, South Korea, and India each add one new club. India also nabs the Highest Climber title as Hyderabad venue Quake Arena rises 26 places, while luxury Indonesian club Savaya breaks into the top five of the poll, becoming only the fourth Asian club ever to do so. Of the remaining Asian clubs, 14.5 move up the poll to only six sliding down, and there’s one non-mover as IlluzionPhuket holds fast in ninth place.

The picture in North America is not quite so bright. Down four clubs on 2025, with 12 of its 16 dropping places, and no new entries, it’s the continent’s poorest showing since 2022. However, it’s not all doom and gloom. The USA is still the top-ranked nation, with 15 clubs making the list. Washington DC’s Echostage — a former winner, no less — still holds a place in the top 10. And venues like Miami’s Club Space and SILO Dallas have made serious gains.

There are several other noteworthy takeaways from the 2026 poll. Kenya’s MUZE returns for the sixth consecutive year, keeping Africa in the list. The UK ranks fifth globally, but for the first time since 2016, no British clubs have made the top 10. London’s Drumsheds does climb 24 places, however, and other clubs that have made double-digit gains this year include Zouk Singapore, São Paulo’s D-EDGE, APlus Hanoi, Hong Kong’s Club Space, and Dublin’s Index.

Another record year in terms of votes, with ravers from 160 countries having their say, it’s no wonder that the Top 100 Clubs continues to diversify, reflecting the passion, dedication, and creativity of our international electronic music community.
