It’s the holiday season, and you know what that means? The time for Fortnite Winterfest 2025 is upon us. This year brings gifts for all players logging into the game, from new collaborations to items you can take to your next battle royale sessions.

Winterfest began on December 18 and will run through January 5, 2026. Those who don’t have time before Christmas can still get involved after the fact and pick up some belated presents. With that said, let’s take a look at everything Fortnite Winterfest 2025 has on offer, including collaborations, rewards, and skins.

Epic Games comes bearing the gift of collaborations and Fortnite Winterfest skins, with many being items in the shops. Three new collabs have been revealed, including Harry Potter, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Bleach. 

Harry Potter is probably the most festive of the bunch, often getting reruns during the holiday season in the UK, but it will only get generic costumes of the Hogwarts houses’ uniforms worn by Fortnite characters. Bleach will get four characters based on the series, while there will be a car based on SpongeBob’s Patty Wagon. SpongeBob and Patrick will reportedly feature as sidekicks, too.

Current and past collaborations will be getting more at Winterfest, too. The Back to the Future collab will be expanded upon on December 23, adding Doc Brown and a car skin based on the Delorean. 

Hastune Miku and Sabrina Carpenter will be getting festive skins too, along with a new jam track each. Home Alone and Batman Beyond have been rumoured, although the schedule seems to leave little room for either collab.

Players will get to explore the Winterfest Cabin, and, for 14 days, players can pick a present in the cabin for each day they log in. While none of the gifts will feature anything to do with Harry Potter, the cabin is decorated with many objects from the Wizarding World.

The main battle-royale map’s northern half will now be covered in snow to better fit the festive framing of the Fortnite Winterfest event. Locations all over the map have been decorated to better fit the holiday season, too, although the Los Angeles area remains untouched by the snow.

There are also some winter-themed weapons, including the blizzard grenade and the snowball launcher. Presents around the map are back, too, but they don’t give items from the normal loot pool. Instead, these weapons come from the Fortnite OG loot pool. You can also get them by driving the Delorean from Back to the Future at 88 miles an hour, an ode to the film, which will gift players with a new plutonium chest on its roof.

Along with all that, there will be a fourth boss around the map, although he’s a bit of a joke. This boss is the Yule Trooper, and his impractical, yet hilarious ability involves trying to move with icy feet as you play as him. Beware ledges. Icy feet and long falls don’t go together.

Fortnite Winterfest 2025 seems to be the perfect way for the community to celebrate the festive season. It has been a massive year for Fortnite, especially with the end of Chapter 6 and the beginning of Chapter 7 at the end of the year. 

The Winterfest seems like a great way for the year to end for Fortnite year to end, with massive collaborations as a gift to the playerbase. From Harry Potter to SpongeBob and the return of music stars like Sabrina Carpenter and Hatsune Miku, there’s plenty of reason to celebrate Winterfest.
