Tomorrowland is bringing its Magic of Tomorrowland experience back to Shanghai this fall, and this time it’s getting a significant upgrade. The indoor spectacle returns to the Hero Dome on October 17 and 18, 2026 — expanding from its inaugural single-day format to a full two-day event.

The event is a partnership between Tomorrowland, Hero Esports, INS Land, and Budweiser. Set against the Shanghai Bund waterfront, the Hero Dome will be transformed around Tomorrowland’s Planaxis theme — one of the festival’s more visually elaborate chapter concepts — adapted for an indoor environment with state-of-the-art production and immersive visual effects.

The Planaxis theme has been a fixture of the Belgian festival’s world-building, and bringing it indoors is meant to push the format beyond what a traditional arena show typically offers. Each of the two days will feature a different artist lineup, meaning attendees can choose one night or go both for what the organizers are calling two distinct festival journeys.

A World of Music, Imagination and Immersive Storytelling

Beyond the main stage, the event will include merchandise, food and beverage, interactive brand activations, and immersive experience zones — the full Tomorrowland infrastructure, condensed into an indoor venue format. The artist lineup hasn’t been announced yet; that detail, along with ticketing information, is expected to drop in August.

Pre-Registration and Ticket Info

Pre-registration for the event opened June 25 via the INS Land app and INS Land WeChat Mini Program, and it’s open to everyone. Attendees who pre-register and successfully purchase tickets will receive an official Magic of Tomorrowland Treasure Case ahead of the shows. Full ticket details will be announced in August.

The Shanghai shows are part of a broader push by Tomorrowland into Asia. Earlier this week, the festival also revealed the lineup for Tomorrowland Thailand, with more international dates expected to follow.
