Three of New Orleans’ most respected promoters are coming together for something new this Halloween. Disco Presents, Amps Events (Metropolitan NOLA), and Encore Entertainment have teamed up to launch Freaky Deaky NOLA, a two-night festival set for October 30 and 31 at Mardi Gras World. Blind presale tickets are already live, starting at $89 for a two-day pass.

A Big Return for Outdoor Dance Music in NOLA

The event will feature two stages with full outdoor production along the riverfront — a notable moment for the city, which hasn’t seen a large-scale outdoor dance festival since Buku and Voodoo ended. Between the three groups, this partnership brings over 50 years of experience in the New Orleans scene, and it feels like a full-circle moment.

Disco Presents founder James “Disco Donnie” Estopinal reflected on that history. He’s been putting on shows in the city since the early ’90s and still holds New Orleans close. He called the collaboration a natural fit, noting how much the city — especially during Halloween — continues to mean to him. He also pointed out how Freaky Deaky has grown into one of their strongest brands, and that teaming up with Hell’s Gala made sense given their shared understanding of what makes New Orleans unique.

Encore Entertainment founder Ryan Roach echoed that energy. His team has spent years building Halloween weekend into a destination for fans traveling in from across the country. When the chance came to work alongside Amps Events, Metro NOLA, and Disco Presents, he saw an opportunity to take things even further.

The roots between these teams go back decades. Rob Brunet of Amps Events pointed to Freakfest in 1998 — his first festival with Disco Donnie — which drew more than 10,000 attendees to the UNO Lakefront Arena. Now, nearly 30 years later, they’re bringing that same spirit back outdoors at Mardi Gras World. Michael Ibarra, General Manager of The Metropolitan, added that these relationships run deep, with some connections going as far back as high school.

Tickets & Lineup

There’s still no lineup announced for the debut edition. There will be two nights of music, immersive visuals, themed experiences, and local vendors, with more details expected closer to the event. Past Freaky Deaky lineups in Texas have included names like Excision, deadmau5, Kaskade, REZZ, Above & Beyond, and Fisher, so expectations are already set high.

Two-day blind presale passes start at $89, with payment plans available and deposits as low as $23. Registering early will enter fans to win two GA passes before the lineup drops. Freaky Deaky NOLA is also partnering with Boys of the Boot Inc., a nonprofit supporting special needs programs and law enforcement initiatives.
