The Chainsmokers return with a new release. Once again, they team up with the Swedish singer and songwriter Oaks for another outstanding collaboration. This one comes under the title ‘Already Know’. The track lands as a follow-up to ‘Echo’ and continues a link that their fans will recognize from their first collaboration, the mega-hit titled ‘Hope’. This new phase feels more intentional and emotionally driven.

The release follows the duo’s recent collaboration with John Summit on ‘All The Time’ a track that leaned more into the club energy and vibe. Not surprisingly, given the fact that John is the biggest name in today’s American clubbing and festival scene. In contrast, this ‘Already Know’ feels more narrative-focused. This is due in part to its set of vocals and atmosphere taking the lead over peak-time intensity and 4×4 leading dance floor drums and percussions.

Drew Taggart, one of the two artists that make up the DJ/producer duo shared on his Instagram account:

“A few months ago we made Echo, then we made another song, and another and another. I can’t remember the last time we had a creative flow like this. It made us think a lot about the magic in past eras and what was making people connect with us again. We are still working on the answer to that question and I think we are getting close. It was therapeutic to work within self-inflicted parameters. The result has been beautiful”.

‘Already Know’ is out now across all platforms, marking another step in this renewed creative run.

As strong as ‘Already Know’ lands, the exciting new collaboration also hints at something bigger on the horizon. The upcoming EP Love Is Kind will be out on May the 8th. It is set to push this artistic collaboration between the duo and Oaks one step further. The project promises a more complete vision of the artistic universe designed by both parts. It is built around both the Swedish’s artist voice and a cohesive emotional narrative, and the Chainsmokers skills in the studio. Expect a body of work that moves between intimate moments and high-impact energy, designed to translate just as well in the calmness of your home and inside the biggest stadiums and venues of the whole world.
