Details are currently emerging regarding an incident at the waterfront venue, a staple of the Toronto electronic music and day-club scene. As of Tuesday, April 28, 2026, local authorities have confirmed they are investigating a fire at the premises as a potential case of arson. As Toronto is gearing up for a busy summer season after a long winter, Cabana has shared: “Our team has already mobilized designers and skilled trades to begin the restoration and rebuilding process immediately.”

According to Cabana, more than half of the venue has been damaged, causing thousands in damage. The police are in the early stages of gathering evidence. Management will be working to get Cabana open on time as they have a busy summer season with Timmy Trumpet as the first major DJ to play on May 31st.
