The Halo Championship Series (HCS) has revealed its esports roadmap for the 2025 season, which includes the locations for its Major tournaments.

In addition to the three Majors, the roadmap confirms that the Halo World Championship will once again take place in Seattle, Washington.

Ahead of the 2025 season, the HCS has partnered with content creator Kaysan ‘FaZe Kaysan’ Ghasseminejad to host the Kaysan Showdown.

This single-day event, which is separate from HCS’ Majors, will see FaZe Clan, OpTic Gaming, Spacestation Gaming (SSG), and Shopify Rebellion compete for its $50,000 (~£40,601) prize pool. The event will be broadcast on Halo’s Twitch and YouTube channels alongside Kaysan’s own Twitch channel.

The 2025 HCS season will be divided into two splits, each consisting of two significant events in Hale’s esports calendar. In the build-up to these events, there will be the HCS Open Series and qualifiers.

North American esports organisation OpTic Gaming will host the opening Major of the year in Arlington, Texas from April 18th to 20th, 2025.

The second event will see the Hale esports head to DreamHack Dallas, which is running from May 23rd to 25th, for the HCS Open. Halo won’t be the only first-person shooter esports tournament taking place at the festival with DreamHack also hosting the Call of Duty League‘s fourth Major.

Split two consists of two Major events hosted by Spacestation Gaming (SSG) and FaZe Clan. The two organisations are no strangers to hosting Halo esports events. In 2024, FaZe Clan hosted Halo’s Atlanta Major while SSG hosted an event before the 2023 season commenced.

It has been announced that Spacestation Gaming’s Major will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah. However, the location of the final Major has yet to be confirmed.

As mentioned previously, the HCS Open Series returns for the 2025 season to encourage amateur Halo esports teams to compete on the big stage. Teams compete in online weekly tournaments for cash prizes and HCS Points that provide a chance to compete in the LAN tournament’s open bracket.

Following all four Majors is the season-ending Halo World Championship. Taking place in Seattle from October 24th to 26th, teams from across the world will compete to earn a share of the $1m (~£812,060) prize pool and the chance to become world champion.
