Team Falcons has announced the departure of its Fortnite player Aleksy ‘Japko’ Jablonsk, bringing the Polish player’s two-year stint with the Saudi Arabian esports organisation to an end.

The decision has raised questions, especially because Japko just qualified for Reload Elite Series 2026 Championship, set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, according to the organisation, he has been let go to comply with the Esports World Cup rule that allows only one duo per organisation.

“Once again due to the EWC rules, we had to let Japko go away from our Fortnite Roster,” Esports Operations Manager Mattéo ‘mAtéhaut’ Paganin stated. “Thanks for your hard work and dedication to Falcons, wish you nothing but only the best my friend!”

Japko joined Team Falcons in 2024 and notably won DreamHack Dallas 2024, the very first tournament in which he represented the organisation. Most recently, the player finished top three at the FNCS Global Championship 2025.

Before joining Team Falcons, the 19-year-old spent a few months with Twisted Minds and also won Gamers8 in 2023. 

In addition to parting ways with Japko, Team Falcons recently announced the departure of one of its longest-standing players, Tai ‘TaySon’ Starčič. Soon after that, the organisation signed 2024 FNCS World Championship winner and two-time FNCS North America Major champion Miguel ‘Pollo’ Moreno.

FNCS Major 1 Summitwill be the first event of the season to offer direct qualification to the 2026 Global Championship. The tournament will feature 100 duos competing online from April 6th to 26th, with the top 50 getting invited to play offline at SD Bank Dome in Germany on May 30th and 31st.

At the end of the Major 1 Summit, the top five teams will advance to the FNCS Global Championship. All the matches will be streamed live on Fortnite Competitive’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
