We’ve got a scorcher for you today.

Good news for all lovers of good old Tech House. Hamburg’s rising star, Wave Wave, just dropped his debut EP Feel The Pressure, hitting Dark Roast Records with two club-ready tracks. The release follows the line of Wave Wave’s notable past twelve months, with releases on Solomun’s Diynamic Music, John Summit’s Experts Only, and SIZE Records.

Wave’s sound works well across the board, from headphones to club floors, and it has its foundation in tension and razor-sharp synths, nodding to his Hip-Hop roots. And the formula works. Otherwise, 1001Tracklists wouldn’t have selected him for their Future of Dance 2025 spotlight.

The EP opens with its title track, one bomb of a collaboration with Buenos Aires beatmaker Franco BA. The track is simple, and really effective. Think of it as a blend between Indie and Tech House, where the robotic vocals are on the Indie side, but resting over a powerful rhythmic instrumental bed. Good Tech House at its finest.

‘Back It Up‘, the flipside, switches gears completely, locking into pure, club-focused, undisturbed Tech House territory. No blend of genres here, everything is madness, and designed for those extra intense moments behind the booth. The track is gritty, sharp-edged, powerful, beefy, and groovy. You just don’t ask for more when you’re deep into the night. When the only requirement is a track produced properly, this one works like a charm.
