Terminal V recently wrapped up its successful chapter in Edinburgh with a final edition at the Royal Highland Centre, highlighting a remarkable nine-year journey in the city.
The latest edition of the festival took place last weekend on April 18th and 19th, 2026, and according to the Edinburgh News, it brought together tens of thousands of fans across six redesigned stages and featuring over 100 artists from around the world. This closing event involved a £1 million investment in the festival site, maintaining the high production standards for which Terminal V is known. It included a full site transformation and a customized sound system designed with leaders in audio and audiotechnik.
Since its start in 2017, Terminal V has grown into one of Europe’s largest electronic music festivals, and it has drawn over a quarter of a million attendees to Edinburgh. It has earned recognition as Scotland’s top festival, the fifth-ranked festival in the UK, and 34th in the world in the DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals poll. Furthermore, it has received an award for ‘Best UK Festival’ at the DJ Mag and Best of British Awards in 2023.
The final program featured a variety of performances across techno, house, and the harder edges of the underground. Highlights included a special UK festival exclusive show by Sara Landry, along with sets from Klangkuenstler, Mall Grab, Robert Hood, Restricted, Ben Hemsley, Vieze Asbak, and many others.
Over its nine years, Terminal V has played an important role in shaping Scotland’s electronic music scene. It has brought international talent to Edinburgh and built a dedicated community of fans. Its influence has also spread beyond the city, with a Croatian festival edition each summer and a successful debut in London at the Drumsheds, which has a capacity of 15,000.
While this edition marks the end of Terminal V’s presence in Edinburgh, its journey continues. There are already plans for a new Scottish location in 2027 and a global series of events, including the upcoming launch of Terminal V Australia, marking an exciting new chapter for the brand.
